Can I use any Bible version?
Yes, you
may use the Bible version that you prefer.
We have different versions listed here that will fit the CTB Charts. We used the English Standard Version (ESV)
because it is a word for word translation that is very readable. Learn more about the ESV here .
What size Bible will fit the CTB Charts?
The exact
size of the CTB Charts is 8.75” by 5.75”.
Your Bible should measure 9” by 6” or larger to fit with the CTB
Charts. Download this free CTB template to make

Is there a downloadable PDF version of the Child Training Bible Charts?

Do the highlighters bleed through the Bible pages?
The highlighters do not bleed through the ESV Bible pages. Darker colors “show through” a bit. If you are using a version with very thin pages, you might consider using colored pencils or twistable crayons. Click here to see your coloring and highlighting options.

Can I share CTB supplies with my friends?
You will
each need a set of CTB Charts and your own Bible. Three packages of tabs will make four Child Training
Bibles. You can also share highlighters
with your group.

What does your postage rate include?
All orders are shipped through USPS Priority Mail. The postage cost includes shipping, processing, and handling. CTB Chart Sets are mailed in white, rigid mailers with delivery confirmation and USPS tracking. (Confirmation and Tracking on US shipments only). An order of one or two CTB Chart Sets has the same postage rate. For even greater discounts on postage, get a group of 10 or more together and place your order.
How soon will I get my order?
Your CTB Charts usually ship the day after you order. All orders ship from southern California and take 3-4 days to arrive at US destinations. International orders take longer and depend on the mail system of each individual country.

At what age can you use the Child Training Bible?
I began using the CTB with my kids starting at age 2!
I thought I was making the CTB just for my kids, but the Lord has used His Word to change me!
I often use the CTB for myself…and I treasure the time I spent highlighting and tabbing it!
Does the CTB only focus on sin?
I made the
CTB as a way for my husband and myself to teach our children about what the
Bible says about certain behaviors and what a godly, Spirit-filled response
should be instead. In each section about
half of the verses speak to the behavior as a sin (negative) and the other half
focuses on the godly, Spirit-enabled response (positive). The questions on the back of each Scripture Chart help focus on gospel truths and Jesus.
Is the CTB only used for correction?
The CTB was designed with 2 Timothy 3:15-17 in mind.
“And how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
The Word of God is able to make our children “wise for salvation!” The gospel section of the CTB is so important. Use it to proclaim salvation in Jesus Christ! How do you use the CTB with your kids?
With my children, I try to use each
instructional time when we come to Scripture as an opportunity to preach the
gospel. When we use the CTB, we talk
about the sin, our need for a Savior because of our inability to please God in
our own strength, and then we talk about the perfect life Jesus lived in our
place and His absolutely gracious gift of salvation! The CTB is a tool to help you highlight the
good news of the gospel in light of our desperate need for grace. I come to the Scripture with my children as a
sinner, needing a Savior and His forgiveness and righteousness. We end our time of biblical instruction by
rejoicing in Jesus, worshipping Him and praising Him through prayer!
